Businesses urged to sign up for early weather warnings as snow looms

Manufacturers have been urged to sign up to a British Weather Services (BWS) early warning system for hazardous weather as the UK braces itself for another Arctic freeze according to forecasters.

The 'Weather Alert' email service give businesses a heads up on perilous weather up to 10 days in advance. A traffic-light system is used to rate the seriousness of approaching weather patterns. The UK is set for another barrage of sub zero temperatures and heavy snowfall according to some meteorologists. Heavy snow could strike in November, December and January predicted Exacta Weather- a weather organisation. The bleak predictions make a compelling case for the Weather Alert service said Jim Dale of BWS. He said: "Businesses and institutions got caught out badly last winter and indeed the winter before, mainly through lack of reputable information; so anything that we can do to prepare businesses more appropriately has got to be good news."
