US medical device manufacturer Concentric Medical is reporting successful go-live on QAD Enterprise Applications in just four months – including validation.

The firm used Strategic Information Group to provide consultancy and services for the project, which involved upgrading Concentric's existing QAD ERP software from version eB2.1 to QAD Enterprise Applications 2010 Standard Edition, which includes the latest QAD .Net user interface. "From discovery and planning to implementation, I was impressed with the unified effort of Strategic's management and technical staff," coments Marcello Dugatti, IT manager for Concentric Medical. "This unity ensured a successful, on-time and on-budget implementation that exceeded our expectations," he adds. Dugatti also says that the switch to the intuitive and customisable QAD .Net user interface is now helping Concentric users to improve their effectiveness and productivity. He cites, for example, the 'favourites' feature, which allows system users to organise processes, visually simplifying their experience with the software. "Our finance and operations staff needed fast, on-demand access to critical information [and] the QAD .Net UI customisable browsers are excellent for this," explains Dugatti. "Now, our users can quickly gather key data points from multiple database tables, making it significantly more manageable to transform abundant data into relevant, actionable information."
