$20 million UK-based radio communications equipment manufacturer Entel Group has selected Epicor next-generation ERP software to integrate its operations globally across all sites and departments.

The firm, which builds equipment for land and marine applications and has operations in Korea and the Philippines, is replacing three legacy systems, and expects to gain real-time visibility across everything from CRM to finance, manufacturing and logistics. "As a global organisation, speed of communication is key, especially with the time differences in our Asia operations," comments Metin Pallenberg, managing director at Entel Group. "With Epicor, everyone will have access to the same information, in real-time, and can have confidence in its accuracy," he continues. "Epicor will also allow us to enforce and quickly refine our processes, for any part of the business, through a single business process management engine." Pallenberg believes that all these features are key to the company's growth, also citing Epicor Configurator software as an important part of the new implementation that will greatly improve quotation and sales accuracy, as well as production scheduling. He also states that four high-end ERP solutions were evaluated by the Entel project team, before selecting Epicor, and says key differentiators were: the ability for the in-house development team to tailor the software; the level of integration and features within Epicor's CRM module; the way in which Epicor presents shared customer information; and the intuitive user interface.
