Ford suppliers to get Icem Shape Design assistance

1 min read

Following the global adoption of Icem Shape Design (ISD) surfacing and validation software by Ford this summer, surface modelling and visualisation developer Icem has launched a programme specifically for qualifying Ford suppliers.

The announcement comes after 15 months of evaluation through pilot programmes at Ford, which is deploying ISD for all its future car launches as an integral part of its C3P-NG digital product development environment. Icem says it will now be hosting a series of supplier seminars at local offices to introduce the programme to Ford suppliers this autumn. ISD runs on Dassault Systèmes’ CAA V5 PLM (product lifecycle management) software architecture and integrates seamlessly with Catia V5 and other CAA V5-based products. Users get everything from general surface modelling to the surface design and engineering requirements of specific industry sectors, such as automotive body and interior components, aircraft exterior skins, yacht interiors, consumer durable goods and complex tyre designs. More details on the seminars will be posted at www.icem.com on the events page. Alternatively any interested supplier should contact their local regional ICEM office in Detroit, Hanover or the UK to discuss the program further.
