Hailo to slash costs improve service on supply chain extension system

German laundry, ladder and sanitation equipment manufacturer Hailo says it expects to streamline its supply chain and sourcing processes when it goes live with Infor’s SupplyWeb.

The company, which is an existing Infor ERP solution user, believes that adding Infor’s supplier relationship management and web EDI system will optimise its replenishment processes. Hailo IT director Fred Michalzik believes that some of the benefit will come from automating time-consuming steps, such as price comparisons, contract development and data analysis. He says that availability of supplies can be checked immediately, allowing the firm to be more responsive to supply chain issues, and ensuring close control of inventory – which he expects to feed through into lower manufacturing costs and better customer service. “We required a real-time supplier relationship solution to immediately react to potential supply shortages, as our business units depend on accurate, up-to-date replenishment data to meet shipping dates,” says Michalzik. “With SupplyWeb, we can improve our supplier relationships, resulting in both time and cost savings. We will also gain universal supplier transparency, delivering accurate information on inventory levels and actual demand.” As Hailo has many years of experience with web-based supplier interaction, the company says it will deploy Infor SRM SupplyWeb as the central information hub for future inbound and outbound supplier requests.
