Specialist carbon and alloy steel stockholder Hillfoot has moved to build on its international operation with the appointment of a new position of export manager.

Adam Bradley has taken on the role and will aim to build on Hillfoot’s existing international sales operation, which currently involves the Sheffield-headquartered company exporting materials to manufacturers in 38 countries.

Bradley said: “The chance to join Hillfoot and take on the exciting challenge of developing an already successful set-up was too good to turn down. I’m impressed by what the team have achieved and the company’s established capability to offer worldwide delivery on all materials, along with full global procurement, inventory, supply chain management and logistics services. Everything is in place for us to push on and establish Hillfoot as a major force in the international steel market.”

Hillfoot executive director Craig James added: “I’m delighted to welcome Adam to the company and have no doubts that he is the right person to drive the expansion of our export operation. We already have the in-house technical expertise, logistics set-up and resilient global supplier network required to succeed internationally, and Adam’s appointment will help us to make the most of the opportunities offered by export markets.”
