Award winning domestic heating systems manufacturer HRM Boilers expects to cut costs and sell more product by implementing a Syspro ERP system, due to go live at the end of this month. HRM managing director Andrew Hounsfield says “Syspro will definitely save on duplication of effort as our previous manufacturing system didn’t speak directly to our accounts or marketing.” The firm sells to builders merchants like Jewson and the Plumb Center, and will integrate data between its production, accounting and marketing functions. That alone will shave 16 days a month admin time between different systems. HRM is also taking a four-user license for Syspro CRM (customer relationship management) from McGuffie Brunton to help improve internal and external communications. “It will combine our six databases into one,” says Hounsfield. “CRM will help to improve communication with customers, new prospects and new markets, like Northern Ireland, and allow our sales and marketing staff to follow up leads in a more professional manner.”
