Lymington Precision Engineers says it has selected IFS Applications 7.5 to consolidate its existing business processes and create more efficient working practises across the board.

The Hampshire-based firm, which serves the nuclear, telecoms, defence, oil, space, medical and marine industries, says it needed to improve its understanding of customers' requirements in detail, building a close interface between respective commercial and engineering teams. Brendan Rich, business analyst at LPE, explains that the IFS software components selected include both operational modules, such as IFS Engineering, IFS Manufacturing and IFS Distribution, as well as business modules, such as IFS Financials, IFS Payroll and IFS Document Management. "Our business is built on excellent customer service. In order to provide the smoothest, most efficient service for our customers, it is critical that we have the best system in place to manage our business," comments Rich. "We selected IFS Applications because it provided us with everything that we needed from one fully integrated solution – manufacturing, planning and scheduling, financials, supply chain and supporting functionality like document management, HR and payroll," he adds.
