Marketing skills programme well received by manufacturers

A Marketing Skills programme, delivered by BeStrategic in association with the Manufacturing Advisory Service (MAS) South East, looks set to help a number of companies transform their businesses in the future.

The programme, consisting of six half-day seminars spread over six months, was aimed at increasing the competitiveness of manufacturers in the region. David Caddle, principle manufacturing specialist at MAS SE says: “The development of marketing skills is essential for manufacturers in the South East if they want to gain and maintain a competitive advantage over their rivals. “This programme has illustrated to manufactures how important marketing is and how, with a structured marketing plan, businesses are able to better satisfy their customers’ needs and increase sales.” The seminars were aimed at all levels of management – but particularly at those individuals without any background or experience in marketing. BeStrategic, who delivered the programme, covered a different topic each month with industry-related illustrations to show the importance of having a well-structured marketing strategy. Greg Smith, marketing director at Integrated Technologies says: “I have benefited greatly from attending these seminars. I will be working with my senior team to deliver a strategic marketing plan which will drive our business plan. We plan to maximise our business’ potential using the tools that the course provided. I would recommend this course to anyone in higher management, whether in marketing or not, the programme represents tremendous value.” A number of companies have brought MAS SE advisors on board to plan and implement their marketing strategies.
