Users of Planit’s Radan and Alphacam design-to-manufacture software can now also get supply and support for solutions incorporating Autodesk Inventor 3D modelling, following a deal that extends the partnership between Planit Holdings and Autodesk. Planit becomes an Autodesk Inventor Unique Application Reseller, building on Radan’s Autodesk System Centre status. “Radan has enormous experience of providing solutions that include Autodesk software and, certainly in the UK, we acknowledge the company as our leading partner in the sheet metal sector,” notes Kevin Ison, Autodesk sales director, Manufacturing Solutions Division. “Autodesk’s Unique Applications Reseller programme recognises that manufacturing companies require highly competent suppliers, who understand their processes from end to end. We feel that Radan and its sister organisations within the Planit group clearly offer this.” “The integration of Autodesk Inventor with our software and support services enables us to add significant value to our customers’ operations,” says Planit group sales and marketing director Patrick Love. “Our experience and skills in the manufacturing arena will prove invaluable in assisting customers to utilise our portfolio of design-to-manufacturing software for maximum competitive advantage.” Planit’s software covers the complete spectrum of user industries and includes Alphacam two- to five-axis machining modules for metal, stone and woodworking applications, as well as Radan’s sheet metal punching, profiling and bending solutions.
