Advanced planning and scheduling software specialist Preactor International is continuing its growth into Europe, having signed a strategic alliance with Advenco Consulting.

The deal follows the launch of Preactor Europe in 2008, adding to a claimed 2,500 companies in 65 countries now using Preactor APS. Preactor CEO Mike Novels points out that the partnership with Advenco is just the latest in a growing list of companies working with Preactor across Europe – now including ATS Pro, Esla and Kratzer. Advenco, he says, is particularly significant, not only because it employs 30 consultants, but because its experties also includes production management and optimisation. It's services also encompass MES (manufacturing execution systems) and business intelligence (BI), primarily for the chemical and food industry but also within mining and crude oil. Says Advenco sales manager Klaus Merz: "Preactor's ability to seamlessly integrate with ERP and MES systems to deliver an even greater ROI … will be of great interest to German manufacturers, especially in the current economic climate." And Novels adds: "Just as modern IT solutions like APS, MES and ERP can work together, the collaboration between Preactor International and Advenco Consulting will create a combination of benefits for the German market that is greater than the sum of their parts."
