Regal Beloit drives business performance with Oracle business intelligence

US motion control products manufacturer Regal Beloit says it has successfully deployed Oracle’s role-based business intelligence software to improve visibility into operations and business decision-making.

Sree Pillai, director, Regal Beloit, says the company wanted a comprehensive, integrated business intelligence solution to help it better understand business performance – particularly across orders, sales, inventory and receivables. The system now takes data from a range of sources, including two instances of Oracle E-Business Suite ERP, Oracle Advanced Supply Chain Planning, SAP, legacy applications, and flat files. The company also deployed Oracle Sales Analytics, along with parts of Oracle Financials Analytics and Oracle Supply Chain and Order Management Analytics. Now, 120 users work with Oracle BI Applications, primarily in sales, ranging from executives to sales representatives, using role-based dashboards, embedded analytics and proactive alerts to monitor performance and help with decision making. “We’ve addressed several challenges head on with the deployment of Oracle BI Applications,” comments Pillai. “We now have a single, consistent view of business information. “As a result, we’ve improved visibility and insight into performance, processes and customers company wide. We’re also aligned to make better decisions and take appropriate actions across all levels of the business.”
