Czech-based automotive parts manufacturer Hayes Lemmerz Autokola, the first European firm to adopt supply chain systems specialist i2’s FastTrack solution for SMEs, went live in just nine weeks. According to Lemmerz, that period includes everything from project concept, through implementation to first signs of improved operational efficiency and customer service. “It’s no longer enough to produce high quality products – we must offer speed, flexibility and delivery accuracy as part of our commitment to outstanding customer service,” says Erich Zipser, general director, Hayes Lemmerz, Autokola. “Implementing i2 Factory Planner has enabled us to improve our operational efficiency, more accurately plan material requirements, reduce costs and become a more reliable link in our customers’ and trading partners’ supply chains.” The company worked with i2 distribution partner LOGIS on the project. Other i2 partners offering the FastTrack service are ROCE Partners in Scandinavia and TruEconomy in the Netherlands and UK.
