Racking protection bounces back
A new impact protection product for warehouse racking has been launched by PSS. The Protect-It plastic system is designed to absorb impact by deforming, before returning to its original shape. The product can absorb everyday knocks as well as more substantial impact from forklift trucks, says PSS.
This product is easy to install, says PSS, requiring no tools or skilled labour and it provides instant protection to the upright.
Warehouse pallet racking is a significant investment and collision damage is not only a health and safety issue but can also be expensive to rectify. Most impacts occur in a small area and within 300mm from the floor. The Protect-It product comes in 100mm sections so the appropriate number can be used for each area. The system can be removed in seconds to allow easy safety checks.
