AWL Group strengthened by ICS Robotics and Automation acquisition

UK robotic welding and automation specialist ICS Robotics and Automation has been acquired by global robotic automation company AWL Group.

ICS will continue to operate as an independent entity under its own name but with customers benefitting from advanced joining and laser welding technologies and the global supply network that AWL Group offer.

Explains AWL chief Brand van ‘t Hof: “The UK robotics market is expected to grow by approximately 10% annually over the next 3 years and with growing adoption rates of automation and robotics within UK manufacturers our aim is to help them get the most from their investments. We offer best-in-class automation technology that contributes towards greater production efficiency, reduced energy use and consistent high-quality throughput.

“AWL is continuously extending its portfolio and capacity to support the needs of manufacturers all around the globe. The smart machines and robotic systems designed and built by ICS will enhance our existing range of solutions.”

ICS has been providing advanced robotic welding and automation solutions throughout the UK and Ireland since 1989. The company offers turnkey robotic welding and handling solutions to a broad range of industries including automotive, yellow goods, medical and general manufacturing.
