Peter Harvey, chief executive of the Fork Lift Truck Association (FLTA), has been included in ‘Logistics 100’.

The listing, which is decided by a panel of industry experts, is the list of the UK logistics industry’s 100 most influential individuals.

During selection, judges look at several factors, such as: operational strength; driving industry change; demonstrating visionary ideas and positively influencing others.

Harvey said: “We are very pleased to see our efforts recognised. Together with our members we have a vision of how our industry could always be that bit better and are striving to achieve it.

“As well as ensuring FLTA members are equipped with up-to-date information on legislation and all the requisite resources to support their customers, we have forged a series of partners to share best practice: enabling them to work smarter and more profitably.”

Harvey became FLTA chief in 2012. Foremost of his achievements has been the impact achieved by the FLTA in the area of safety.

On his watch, the size, scope and status of the National Fork Truck Safety Conference has grown. Likewise, Safetember, the association’s annual safety month campaign, continues to achieve year-on-year growth.
