Entry submission are now being accepted for the Manufacturing Champions Awards 2018.

Now into their fifth year, the Manufacturing Champions Awards are the only industry awards that recognise the individuals and teams who make the UK’s factories world-class.

There are nine categories to choose from, including Manufacturing Leader, Rising Star, Health & Safety Champion, and Manufacturing Team, as well as Skills/Community Champion, Unsung Hero, and the Maintenance Award.

Manufacturing Management (MM) is also proud to reveal two new categories for 2018.

Energy & Environment Champion has been designed for the employee or team who have done their bit for the planet – whether investing in energy-saving measures or making your site a haven for wildlife.

Meanwhile, UK Manufacturing Hero 2018 is an award for the site, team or individual that has made the biggest impact to the UK’s manufacturing industry in the past year. This is shortlisted and awarded by the MM editorial team, based on their experiences from time spent in the industry.

All entries will be judged by an expert panel of peers from across the manufacturing industry, with the winners announced at a gala lunch event at the Midland Hotel, Manchester, on 6 December.

Chris Beck, editor of MM, said: "MM’s Manufacturing Champions Awards are unique amongst the industry, in that they celebrate the individuals and teams that make UK manufacturing world-class. Winning an award, or even being shortlisted, is a major achievement, and previous winners have seen a noticeable uplift in business as a result of the profile it brings. With nine categories to enter, there are plenty of options to recognise and reward the people on your site who make a real difference. I look forward to welcoming you to the event in December."
