Better projects at Detroit Diesel

Global diesel engines manufacturer Detroit Diesel (DDC) has solved an engine configuration and calibration system problem by going for web-based project management.

Its issue was an urgent need to get the system working for its newer hybrid engines in the US. DDC already had project management software, but that was on the company network, meaning a cumbersome process of checking files in and out to remote international developers. Project manager Shawn Perry went for Elementool's web-based Bug Tracking solution because of its anywhere, any time access. He also cites its issues tracking, ease of use, low cost and almost immediate return on investment. Results include improved productivity and improved communications.
