A new panorama appears for business users

Analytics, reporting and enhanced performance dashboards are all integrated in Panorama 5.0, the company of the same name’s latest business intelligence system that supports SQL Server 2005. The company says it’s aimed at enabling manufacturers “to proactively manage their business and improve bottom-line results.” And there’s also a focus on faster implementation and more bang for your buck. How so? First, you get an adaptive information management server that allows you to fairly easily configure and run even quite complex business models. You also get guided analysis that automatically directs users to root causes and trends. Then there’s secure mobility and enhanced Microsoft SharePoint integration and a new .Net client for remote working and integration. And there’s good links into Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, as well as good charting and visualisation tools, giving useful choice for preferred working environments.
