ABB doubles order for automotive robotic vision
ABB has placed two additional orders for guided robotic vision systems with developer Braintech. The systems are intended for a Japanese automaker.
eVisionFactory (eVF) is the key ingredient in ABB’s TrueView vision guidance application for seam sealing.
The additional systems are duplicates of two earlier systems ordered last July. They will be added to the same production line to further automate the sealing process and will complete seam sealing automation on te vehicle bodies.
ABB’s Robotic, Automotive and Manufacturing group supplies robots, robotic systems and automation systems to the automotive, manufacturing and consumer industries – to date, more than 130,000 robots world-wide.
