ABB has opened a new 12,600 square meter production and office facility in China for the manufacture of low voltage generators.

ABB Tellhow Generators – a joint venture between Tellhow Sci-Tech and ABB (China) – will produce advanced low voltage synchronous generators to meet a growing consumer demand for power saving products that reduce energy consumption and cut down emissions. The goal is to design and manufacture low voltage synchronous generators with an annual production capacity of 6,000 units. “The inauguration of ABB’s global production site for low voltage generators shows ABB’s further commitment to its long term growth in China,” says Brice Koch, the chairman and president of ABB China. “It is also a great milestone in turning the joint venture into a generator production flagship in China.” The generators are in the power range of 15 – 1400 kVA for land based and 500- 5000 kVA for marine applications, providing emergency power supplies for offices, schools, hospitals and factories, and for telecommunications and different industrial applications, such as marine, pulp & paper and chemical plants.
