The firm has also achieved a 2-star accreditation, surpassing the 1-star rating achieved in previous years and elevating its status as an ‘outstanding’ company to work for in 2023
A nationally recognised scheme, Best Companies’ accreditation celebrates businesses that care about doing things right for their employees, showcasing a commitment to ensuring a happy and engaged workforce and an in-depth understanding of its importance.
And the rankings achieved by adi Group this year fully demonstrate this commitment, with the firm having made building a strong, engaged team of workers a vital part of its strategic goals.
Commenting on this achievement, Alan Lusty, CEO, said: “Receiving a 2-star accreditation after a previous 1-star is an exceptional milestone, showcasing an upward trajectory within such an important area of business.
“We believe it is of utmost importance to give our employees a voice and a platform to express how they feel about our organisation, to allow them to leave feedback about life at adi and to suggest the changes they’d like to see implemented.
“Best Companies’ survey is an incredible platform with a particularly helpful format for this, helping us ensure that our employees feel proud to work at adi, which is a crucial part of our continuous self-improvement journey as a business.
The firm has also achieved #86 within the UK’s 100 Best Large Companies to Work For in 2023 list, again showcasing its outstanding status on a national level, and not just within its industry
“This year, we have seen improvements across the board within engagement scores, showing that the changes we have implemented year on year in response to previous feedback have made a positive impact on our employees – and we look forward to seeing these grow even more,” continued Alan.
The business strives to create a positive environment where its employees’ individual requirements are met, no matter their role or their unique circumstances. To achieve this, adi offers an inclusive benefits portal to support their mental, financial, and physical wellbeing.
Further, adi encourages employees to work at different desks each day to improve team interaction and communication, and through an internal program called "Tell Stirling", employees can ask questions and make suggestions which are always acted upon
The firm also provides outstanding opportunities for employees to become involved in engagement and team building events such as through its management and apprenticeship awaydays, two days out of the office with activities dedicated to team building, ESG strategy planning and technical skill building.
Additionally, the business offers its employees exciting opportunities to become involved in fundraising and charity events to support causes of significant importance and give back to the local community, such as the Dragon Boat Race, the Wolf Run, St Basils Big Sleepout, Macmillan Coffee Mornings, a football tournament and many more.
This year alone, the firm has raised an extraordinary £107,000 for various charities, £67,000 of which were raised to support its charity of the year, Birmingham’s Children’s Hospital Charity
“We truly want to make a positive impact within our community, and actively foster an environment where employees are not only encouraged to participate, but also to put forward their own ideas to help shape the future of the business,” added Alan.
“We strive to cultivate an inclusive culture to help employees reach their full potential, and are committed to continuous improvement – we strongly believe that this is key to the growth and success of our business.”
