AgustaWestland chooses V6 for production and supplier collaboration

Gianmario Prato, senior vice president of ICTat AgustaWestland, says that Dassault's V6 was selected after a full comparative analysis of competing product lifecycle management software technologies in the aerospace and defence industry. He believes that the firm will now benefit from an online environment, which will help to co-ordinate activities at the a Finmeccanica company's various production facilities. "A strong point influencing our decision was the greater efficiencies that a 3D world, powered by Enovia V6, can bring to our product development activities," comments Prato. In particular, he expects the new systems to improve AgustaWestland's product development processes and its ability to share information between the company, its suppliers and the firm's centres of excellence around the world.
