Sittingbourne-based independent business process modelling software firm Deans Hill Systems is about to launch a new version of its All Clear software which will make modelling for business and manufacturing productivity and process improvement five times faster, according to Bill Best, joint managing director.
The suite is aimed at production managers, design managers and departmental heads – and allows them to model and adapt their own internal and external systems to find better ways of operating.
Says Best: “What makes us different is it takes text and data and converts that straight into flow charts.” Users don’t have to do all the graphical work themselves. “It acts like a drawing package with standard drag and drop, but it knows the relationships and puts all the links in for you.”
The result? He says: “On creation of the business model it’s at least five times faster [than conventional alternatives] – and if you have to make changes later it could be 10 times faster.”
The new version has additional features and functions, including cause and effect diagrams and new methods of producing deployment charts. “You can put data behind each box (like time, cost, people, probabilities) and simulate your processes to identify bottlenecks, costs implications and so on,” says Best.
The system can also examine ‘what if’ scenarios and help isolate where greatest benefits can be gained, as well as avoiding costly mistakes.
All Clear is already used by a wide range of firms from SMEs to large concerns, with SAP and similar ERP products, and on a day-to-day basis for shop-floor reorganisation, and other areas of business optimisation.
