Another Trent 900 engine contract for Rolls
Rolls-Roycehas won a contract for Trent 900 engines to power six Airbus A380 aircraft (pictured) from Asiana Airlines. The order includes a long-term service agreement.
Asiana Airlines, based in Seoul, South Korea, will take delivery of these aircraft in 2014, marking its first Rolls-Royce powered aircraft to enter service. Asiana Airlines has previously ordered Trent XWB engines for 30 firm and 10 option A350 XWB aircraft.
Rolls-Royce Trent 900 engines have now been selected to power the Airbus A380 by 10 out of 15 airlines.
