APICS and SCC get together for training
SCC (the Supply Chain Council) has joined forces with APICS (the Association for Operations Management) to offer education and training programmes.
The former is the not-for-profit association renowned for its supply chain improvement methodologies, diagnostics and SCOR process reference model. APICS is the association for operations management and supply chain certification.
APICS CEO Abe Eshkenazi says the partnership is about enhancing skills of supply chain and operations management professionals. "This collaboration brings together the expertise of both organisations to develop the knowledge of the members," he says.
SCC executive director Joseph Francis adds: "APICS education and training programs provide a foundation for the supply chain improvement activities that SCC promotes."
