The Coventry-based manufacturer Arrowsmith Engineering has seen its sales improve 20% over the last 12 months after a £1m investment programme laid the foundations for string of new contracts.
The company, which makes precision components for the aerospace industry, Formula One and the energy sector is now targeting £4m sales within three years.
Having tapped into support from the Manufacturing Advisory Service – West Midlands (MAS-WM) Arrowsmith said it had harnessed technical innovation to win a string of orders to produce complex engine and actuation parts for the likes of Rolls Royce, Goodrich, Pattonair and Meggit,
The orders followed a £1m investment drive that has seen it complete its headquarters, increase floor space by a third (to 15,000 sq ft) and invest in new facilities, ranging from a thread rolling laboratory and grinding capability to a 5-axis machine and 3 CNC lathes.
Managing director Jason Aldridge (pictured, left with business minister Mark Prisk) said the company was working to a five year plan to move from £1.8m turnover to £4m-plus, creating up to ten new jobs.
Arrowsmith employs 39 people and has diversified to offer high precision, complex components in exotic metals used in Rolls-Royce Trent engines and on the Airbus A380, A350 and the Boeing 747 and 787.
