Babcock obtains first NATO training contract

The contract, which is for five years, is for the delivery of support to its Joint Warfare Centre.

The contract will also support military exercises by providing subject matter experts to fulfil play functions, including role players.

The provision of exercise control staff will also be provided in the contract. This will help support the design of training for Alliance's multinational headquarters through computer-assisted command post exercises.

Jo Rayson, Babcock’s Managing Director for Training, said: “During a period of increased geopolitical instability, high quality training exercises are central to improving security. It is a privilege to be working side-by-side with the NATO Joint Warfare Centre in the development and delivery of their computer-assisted command post exercises. Their mission is our mission.”

Babcock's land sector is one of the largest suppliers of training services to the British Armed Forces, and recently played a key role in the delivery of Exercise CERBERUS 24 in Germany which involved more than 3,000 personnel and 800 vehicles.
