BAE Systems Applied Intelligence appoints engineering director

BAE Systems Applied Intelligence has appointed Elaine Baker as director of engineering. She will have global responsibility for engineering across all of the company's business areas.

Baker has held senior roles at Capita, Barclays, CSC and Xansa. She has also acted as a non-executive advisor to the Land Registry and has expertise in product development, systems integration, service integration, change management and management of global engineering functions, including offshore operations. Her remit is to develop engineering capabilities across BAE Systems Applied Intelligence. This will involve implementing an improvement programme built around investment in people, process, methods and tools. She will also work closely with key strategy and product teams and will help to develop and implement the business's product maturity and packaging strategy.
