Aerospace giant BAE Systems will be the headline sponsor of the Skills Show- an event championing the best in young British engineering talent.
BAE Systems said the Skills Show, which takes place on 15-17 November at the NEC Birmingham, signalled an opportunity to excite and inspire tomorrow's engineers.
Nigel Whitehead, BAE Systems, group managing md, said: "The Skills Show is a great platform for demonstrating the value of vocational training. BAE Systems is proud to support the show."
The Skills Show will see the UK's best engineering apprentices compete in practical challenges including aeronautical engineering, Mechatronics and CAD.
Employers will also be showcasing manufacturing career opportunities at the show. BAE's display will invite visitors to have a go at building their own aircraft.
BAE Systems apprentice, Rachael Carr said: "Our make-it challenge is a fun element to try and capture a young person's imagination and get them into an engineering and manufacturing mind-set."
