Caravan electricals manufacturer BCA Group says it is investing more than £100,000 in a remotely managed manufacturing ERP solution from K3 in a bid to improve business efficiencies.
The system will replace BCA's existing business system, and Wim Batist, BCA Group owner and managing director, says he expects superior levels of control over manufacturing, accounting and distribution operations – with "instant visibility" to management information.
"We were aware that we could gain a clearer view of our processes with a fully integrated ERP system," says Batist. "We spent a lot of time and effort reviewing the market, eventually selecting a fully managed Syspro solution, following visits to other K3 customer sites to see the system in action."
And he adds: "We expect Syspro to make a huge difference to what we do. The MRP function, for example, will give us tighter control over BoMs, which is important, as we source components from all over the world. The new system will help balance lead times with manufacturing deadlines."
As for sizing the system, K3 Managed Services reviewed BCA's existing IT architecture and provided an infrastructure solution to maximise software performance. The division will go on to manage all IT for the company through its monitoring and maintenance system, K3 Sentinel.
