Bell Helicopter flies high on Dassault Systems development solutions

Glenn Isbell, programme manager at Bell Helicopter, says the upgrade will support unprecedented growth at the company, and will be implemented using the Enovia Aerospace and Defence Accelerator to meet regulatory requirements. It will also standardise key business processes, he says, to enable employees and suppliers worldwide to share updated product information securely and efficiently. The deal comes as Bell faces up to the common problem of a mix of ageing, stand-alone technologies and systems. Isbell says that the company needed an enterprise-grade, integrated solution for its digital product management process. “Increased global demand and a more complex business environment created unsustainable pressure on our existing legacy technology systems,” says Isbell. “We therefore needed the lowest risk approach to get maximum benefits from significant business process improvements. “The partnership with Dassault Systèmes will enable us to meet these challenges through an integrated solution that will establish a series of best practices to better manage and securely distribute product information globally within our company and across the supply chain.”
