BMW Group has created 1,000 new permanent jobs across its four UK manufacturing plants.
The Group's Mini plant in Oxford is set to take most of the new jobs, but the Group's pressings plant in Swindon, engine plant at Hams Hall, near Birmingham, and Rolls-Royce Motor Cars plant in Goodwood, West Sussex will also benefit.
Recruitment will take place in two phases between 2014 and 2016.
The initial recruitment phase covers 700 jobs and will start in the New Year with recruitment for the remaining 300 jobs starting in 2016.
The news has resulted from a £760 million investment programme from 2012-2015 to support the launch of the new Mini, a new generation of three-cylinder engines and the expansion of the company's business at Rolls-Royce Motor Cars.
