Johnston Press has expanded its printing centre in County Armagh, and installed two Boge SLF 75 frequency controlled screw compressors along with a Boge S 75 screw compressor in order to meet the new compressed air demands of the expansion in the most energy efficient manner.
Johnston Press, a major publisher of local newspapers expanded the Armagh centre which is responsible for printing over 50 titles. Compressed air performs an important role at the centre by powering all of the printing and pre-press equipment. As part of the expansion plans, the M&E contractor established that the existing compressed air system would not be able to meet the new compressed air requirements and recommended replacing the existing system with one Boge S 75 screw compressor alongside two Boge SLF 75 series frequency controlled screw compressors.
Douglas Meade, factory manager at the centre said: "We are very pleased with the new compressed air system which is proving to be very reliable."
