The title is open to all UK-based companies operating an apprenticeship scheme, as well as colleges providing training courses in engineering or key trades.
The scheme complements a similar initiative run for several years by Buck & Hickman, the distributor of tools, maintenance and health and safety products, which joined the Brammer Group in 2011.
Brammer and Buck & Hickman will donate prizes for the winning apprentice in each company, which include a certificate, trophy and £100 in vouchers for the acclaimed Roebuck tool range which is exclusively available to Brammer and Buck & Hickman. Each apprentice registered will receive £10 in Roebuck vouchers.
Ian Ritchie, managing director of Brammer and Buck & Hickman, explained: "Throughout our history, we have been involved in meeting the ever-changing needs of British industry for MRO products and we have seen many apprentices grow to become leaders in the sector.
