Bridgestone (Changzhou) Automotive Products Co, a subsidiary of the Bridgestone Tire, is to work with Shenzhen Eastnet to implement an Asprova APS (advanced planning and scheduling) system.
Eastnet will be providing consultation and trainings on Asprova as well as long-term system maintenance.
Bridgestone invested $ 15,000,000 to set up Bridgestone (Changzhou) in the Xinbei district, Changzhou, China, mainly to produce and supply shock-absorber parts to car manufacturers like Toyota at Tianjin and Nissan at Guangzhou.
Says Bridgestone (Changzhou)’s vice president Yoichi Ohira: “Our business is developing fast. By replacing our current manual scheduling procedures with Asprova’s high-speed scheduling system, we expect our customer satisfaction level to greatly improve as a result of better precision and response time in handling orders and last-minute changes. We believe that this will maximise our company’s profit.”
Asprova has so far been implemented at around 1,000 factories in Japan, the US, UK, Spain, China, Taiwan and Korea, and is currently the leading production scheduler in Japan with a market share of 52.4%.
