The 176 winners - small and medium sized businesses from across the UK - have been recognised for their contribution to international trade, innovation, sustainable development and promoting opportunity.
Business secretary Greg Clark named the winners in celebration of Her Majesty the Queen’s 91st birthday.
Clark said: “The Queen’s Awards for Enterprise highlights everything that’s great about UK business today.
“I’m extremely proud to see such a wealth of businesses being recognised today. Through our Industrial Strategy we will be building on the successes of these award-winning businesses, helping to build a stronger, more outward looking and prosperous global Britain.”
BOFA International, a leader in fume and dust extraction technology for industrial processes, is among the winners in innovation.
It has been awarded the prestigious accolade for the development of its Intelligent Operating (iQ) System, which is helping organisations around the world to protect the health of employees and improve production processes through more effective extraction of airborne contaminants in the workplace.
Tony Lockwood, managing director of BOFA, said: “Receiving the Queen’s Award for Innovation is testament to the hard work of everyone at BOFA and to the global success of our technology. It is doubly satisfying that we have achieved this recognition in our 30th anniversary year.”
