Britvic drinks to Swisslog success at Wincanton
Wincanton says its Britvic warehouse maintained service levels of 99.8%, without interruption, during rollout of Swisslog's WarehouseManager software.
Its new WMS now provides an interface between Britvic's SAP ERP host and the local movement control system for the existing automation.
The site, in Lutterworth, is Britvic's national distribution centre. Swisslog says that key to the success was extensive testing between its WMS platform and Britvic's operations to ensure optimal integration.
Bob Symons, regional drive site manager for Britvic, comments that Swisslog successfully coordinated the replacement in a live environment, while keeping to time and budget plans.
"Swisslog, working with Wincanton and Britvic, delivered the implementation on time in budget with no impact to Britvic's high service levels," he says.
