Global footwear company Brown Shoe says it’s replacing legacy applications with SAP Business Suite to improve supply chain management.
Brown Shoe will use SAP’s Apparel and Footwear solution, which, it believes, will help align its IT operations on a single, scalable and flexible platform – delivering efficiencies all the way from finance to employee productivity.
Ron Fromm, chairman and CEO of Brown Shoe, says he expects the implementation also to strengthen the company’s interconnected wholesale, sourcing, retail and e-commerce business platforms.
He also points out that the firm has selected business intelligence solutions from Business Objects to help close the loop between business strategy and execution.
“The implementation of SAP ERP is integral to our efforts to create an interconnected business model and leverage our inter-company synergies to better meet the needs of our customers,” he says. “SAP will be a key enabler toward reaching our strategic goals of becoming the leading fashion footwear marketer.”
