SAP reseller Ciber Europe says it’s strengthened its collaboration with SAP and can now support real-time plant floor integration as well as analytics and visualisation.
It’s using SAP’s xApps Manufacturing Integration and Intelligence composite applications on SAP NetWeaver for the tasks, along with IP from specialist implementation and training partner Vitegris.
“Ciber has been working with SAP in Europe and with Vitegris in the UK and Germany, to develop a delivery capability for SAP xApps Manufacturing Integration and Intelligence,” explains Terje Laugerud, Ciber CEO.
“We have now extended that partnership by acquiring the skills from Vitegris directly, to augment our own, growing delivery capability.” And that will be made available to Ciber’s sectors, which include chemicals, pharmaceuticals, engineering, hi-tech and automotive.
“This commitment ensures that we can provide our customers with solutions that integrate their management and execution systems, reducing the total cost of ownership for their whole manufacturing systems infrastructure,” says Laugerud.
SAP xApp Manufacturing Integration and Intelligence is part of the manufacturing operations management portfolio that supports SAP’s adaptive business networks approach aimed at globally distributed manufacturing plants.
It’s not just about connecting plant operations with the business; it also provides manufacturers with the ability to replenish their supply chain profitably while dynamically adapting to unpredictable change.
