CIPD roadshow tackles employment law hazards

Managing dismissals and employment tribunal claims will be under discussion at the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development's legal road show this spring.

The Law on Tour event aims to offer practical workshops on impending employment law legislation. The Bribery Act, extended paternity leave and the scrapping of default retirement age will all be under the microscope at 12 workshops between 10 and 27 May. Mike Emmott, employee relations adviser at CIPD said: ""Our research into conflict management in March found that two out of three employers say they have no effective protection against employees making wholly unjustifiable claims to employment tribunals. More than half say they have endured a complaint against their organisation on malicious grounds. With this in mind it is even more vital for employers to seek ways of resolving workplace issues before they get to an employment tribunal." For more details on the Law Tour click the link below:
