Cranfield National Manufacturing Debate tackles supply chain growth

Harnessing growth in the UK manufacturing supply chain will be the theme of Cranfield's National Manufacturing Debate 2012.

Jon Bolton, director at Tata Steel and Cosworth chief Tim Routsis are among the headline speakers at the debate to be held on 29-30 May at Cranfield University. The National Manufacturing Debate will be chaired by Financial Times manufacturing editor Peter Marsh. Marsh will challenge panellists on what needs to be done to boost the supply chain to facilitate growth in UK manufacturing. The debate will include contributions from SME operators fronted by Will Butler-Adams, MD at Brompton bikes and financiers with Mark Lee of Barclays representing the banks. Iain Gray, CEO of the Technology Strategy Board - a government body launched to promote investment in innovation and R&D- will offer his views on stimulating supply chain growth. Lord Alec Broers, former president of the Royal Academy of Engineering will also chair part of the National Manufacturing Debate.
