David Goss, Technical Director of The UK Material Handling Association (UKMHA), has been appointed as the President of the British Materials Handling Federation (BMHF), UKMHA announced.

With an in-depth understanding of the developments and trends impacting the material handling industry, David is poised to provide the BMHF with effective leadership during his two-year term.

Outgoing BMHF President Dave Berridge said: “The BMHF plays a vital role in supporting UK trade associations, and their members, in the material handling sector. As such, it is important that the Federation is presided over by a respected individual with extensive experience and industry expertise. As the UKMHA’s Technical Director, my successor David Goss is an ideal fit for the position."

He continued: “The BMHF supports the development and adoption of material handling equipment in all areas of the UK economy. I have every confidence in David’s ability to continue our work representing the over 400 businesses and 25,000 employees operating in the ever-evolving material handling sector.”

Comprising the British National Committee of the European Materials Handling Federation (FEM), the BMHF is committed to promoting the UK’s material handling sector and the interests of the six trade member associations on the European stage.

Goss will continue to serve as UKMHA’s Technical Director during his time as BMHF’s president. Dedicated to providing a voice for all aspects of the UK’s material handling industry, the UKMHA is a not-for-profit organisation that was formed by the merger of the British Industrial Truck Association (BITA) and the Fork Lift Truck Association (FLTA).
