The Radio Metro Arena played host to more than 90 leading machinery, supply chain and design engineering exhibitors on 8 and 9 July alongside high level conference sessions and practical workshops.
Organiser Mark Allen Exhibitions (MAx) said this two-day event, originally conceived specifically to address the needs of the North East, would now become an annual event and continue to bring the best of British design engineering and manufacturing talent to the region.
"Without doubt the North East has a rich industrial heritage but Manufacturing & Engineering North East is about now and about driving innovation and growth for the future," said Ed Tranter, managing director of MAx.
He added: "2015 was a success by every measure however in 2016 Manufacturing & Engineering will be even better. The vast majority - 70% - of this year's exhibitors have already rebooked, we have a waiting list for further stand space and we have received a number of requests from exciting conference speakers."
He continued, "We have started planning for next year's show and we are looking forward to bringing the Manufacturing & Engineering buzz back to Newcastle in 2016."
In 2016, Manufacturing & Engineering North East will run from 6 to 7 July at Radio Metro Arena, Newcastle. For full details and to pre-register interest visit: www.menortheast.co.uk
