UK manufacturers are being offered the chance to host their business applications or websites on dedicated servers within Outsourcery's secure data centre, without having to buy or install them.
The company has invested in Windows 2008 servers, and says that, as businesses wise up to the increasing costs of managing in-house servers, it is standing by to help.
Says Mark Seemann, product strategy and development director at Outsourcery: "Getting your server up and running is easy. You don't have to worry about the up-front cost of buying a server, finding a data centre to host it in, managing and supporting the server or paying for hardware, power and bandwidth."
And he explains: "An SME which has two or three servers located on their premises can consolidate these in to one of our Dedicated Windows 2008 Servers using the inbuilt virtualisation features of Hyper-V.
"This will have the impact of saving costs on the hardware, power and ongoing maintenance of those three servers while benefiting from the latest high performance HP and Microsoft technology."
