Defacto partners with Version One for barcode systems

Alec Willis, managing director of Defacto Solutions, says the objective is to fulfil the increasing demand from Sage Line 500 and Sage 1000 users for document management functionality. Version One’s solutions, he says, will enable electronic creation, storage, retrieval, management, delivery and authorisation of business documents ranging from invoices and purchase orders to statements. The partnership focuses on Version One’s barcode printing system DbForm, which produces labels and barcoded documents for use with Defacto’s DefCapture barcoded data entry solution in the Sage environment – looking after goods receiving, bin-to-bin transfers, stocktaking, order picking and despatch confirmation. It’s all about capturing data faster and more accurately, as well as improving efficiency while cutting costs, says Willis. “We are very excited to form this partnership with Version One and can now provide our customers with best-of-breed solutions that are tightly integrated into Sage Line 500 and Sage 1000. Using Version One’s DbForm software alongside our DefCapture system, enables us to provide Sage users with high quality barcoded data capture,” he says.
