Desktop computing can now be outsourced to another provider, Dell, following the launch of a new managed service last month.
Dell Managed Services is for Dell and multi-vendor client computing infrastructures. Users get modular, flexible desktop services, with a single point of accountability for their desktop hardware and services.
Josh Claman, VP of services, says: “Our customers have asked for better quality, cost-effective and reliable lifecycle services from a single supplier, and a partner they can trust.
“They are looking to gain more control over their IT infrastructure through a services solution that can integrate with their IT strategy and environment, whilst delivering lower operating costs back to the business.”
Dell has a track record of providing managed services in the United States, where its customers range from the ranks of the Global 500 and public organisations, to small and medium businesses.
