Smurfit Kappa, the Republic of Ireland-based packaging products giant said today (9 February) that despite continued input cost pressure it had improved earnings, reflecting its focus on operating efficiency and better than expected demand.
CEO Gary McGann reported a 22% growth in earnings for 2010. He went on: "Current business conditions support continued price recovery with input costs rising and demand remaining strong. Industry inventory levels remain at a satisfactory level and the supply outlook is favourable.
