From 23rd to 26th June, London’s Docklands ExCel centre will play host to the giant Oracle’s massive annual international user event, Oracle AppsWorld, now in its third year. The event is aimed at business leaders, senior executives, project managers and IT managers across all the sectors, but Oracle is pushing the boat out particularly in manufacturing and at that, smaller organisations. So this should be a good opportunity to establish real capability and interest. Larry Ellison, Oracle’s charismatic chairman and CEO, will be providing the keynote in person. Thereafter, the conference, forum and exhibition – which will be big – will cover the whole raft of Oracle applications, including its latest 100% Internet business systems, with education, strategy and resources analysis. In particular, this year’s events will focus on product update and education sessions for existing Oracle Applications users and organisations considering a new business software investment. Importantly, it will also include an Executive Summit, bringing together business, government and academic speakers to highlight business issues. Aspects to be covered include accounting standards, corporate governance and European Union enlargement.
