Donovan began his position on 1 November after a planned recruitment and transition process.
The replaces Lord Matthew Taylor who announced his retirement after serving in the position for ten years.
Donovan has experience in scaling businesses. He spent over a decade in the mobile communications sector, leading Vodafone's emerhing markets business.
He also held several CEO roles at private equity corporations such as UCI Cinemas Group and Odeon.
Alongside his newly accept position, Donovan will act as non-executive director at Arqiva and Nordic Aviation Capital.
